Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has donated laptops to medical staff at one of the biggest hospital in the Volta Region, the Battor Catholic Hospital.

The gesture according to the MP is a way to show appreciation to the staff of the hospital for their selfless efforts in delivering quality health to residents in the North Tongu Constituency and Ghanaians.

The donation is also a way to show love and reward the staff for their sacrifices that bring visible progress and development in the constituency, Mr. Ablakwa said in a post on his Facebook wall.

The lawmaker who seems passionate about promoting health in his constituency, in August 2018, donated the first ever ambulance and hospital consumables including wheelchairs worth GHC100,000 to the North Tongu District to mark his 38th birthday.

The donation of the ambulance was part of measures to reduce unnecessary deaths in communities such as Dorfor, Volo, Fodzoku and Torgorme.

He is optimistic the use of laptops at the famous Battor Catholic Hospital will help keep medical records of patients safe and ease the stress on staff through the use of technology.

“Though they deserve far more than my humble token; I hope the laptops presented to these awesome long-serving medical staff of the famous Battor Catholic Hospital will be another gesture that reminds all staff just how much I appreciate their efforts all these years,” the MP added.
