The Deputy Chief of Staff and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Damongo Constituency Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor has commissioned electrification projects for some two communities in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region to the national electricity grid on Saturday 7th March, 2020.
Mr Abu Jinapor in a speech during the commissioning of the two joint projects said the aim of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government is to attain universal coverage at the end of 2020 and that the project forms part of government’s vision to achieve universal electricity coverage and aimed at connecting all the communities without electricity in the Damongo Constituency before the end of 2020.
He went further to remind the two communities that the electrification projects and many more are a clear testimony to President Akufo-Addo’s noble vision of rural development and empowerment.
He advised the people of the Damongo Constituency to do away with politicians who are not development-oriented and go inn for people like him who will always bring development to their doorsteps.
Mr Jinapor thanked the two communities for their continues support and prayer over the years and promised to do more for them when giving the nod as the member of Parliament for the Damongo Constituency.
He used the occasion to assure the people of Kojokura, Sumpini, Soalepe, Sor1 and Sor2 electoral areas all in the Damongo Constituency that in due course, their communities will be connected.
The Chief of Bidma, Bidimawura Abubakari Gbeadese Abukari on behalf of his community thanked him for the kind gesture done his people.
The Municipal Chief Executive for the West Gonja Municipal Assembly Hon. Saeed Jibril Muhazu urged the communities to reward Mr Abu Jinapor by voting massively for him to represent the Damongo Constituency in Ghana’s August house come December 7.
