Takoradi, Nov 18, GNA - Academic work had resumed at the Takoradi Polytechnic after the call off strike by the Polytechnic Teachers Association of Ghana, (POTAG). The Ghana News Agency on Wednesday observed that brisk academic work was taking place at the educational institution, unlike Monday when most of the students were not certain about their return to campus, following an initial announcement that only non-tertiary students would be lectured. Mr Dickson Tsey, Local POTAG Secretary, lauded the lecturers for suspending the strike to continue with academic work. Mr Nathaniel Glover, Polytechnic Relations Officer, told the GNA that most students were back to school and lecturers, who travelled outside the Polytechnic, had returned and serious academic work was ongoing.
