Ho, Feb. 4, GNA - Rt. Rev. Dr Livingstone Buama, Moderator of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EP) Ghana, has observed that constant accessibility of government functionaries to the people was crucial for the sustenance of good governance.
He said such interactions should not only be with people at the top echelons of society but at all levels to give meaning to representative governance.
Rt. Rev. Dr Buama said this when Dr Kwame Addo-Kufuor, Minister for Defence, paid a courtesy call on him while on a day's visit to the Ho Military Garrison.
"Politicians and government officials must be ready to create space for other people in their programmes," the Moderator said. He described Dr Addo-Kufuor's visit as that of "brother to brother" and that it would sustain a long standing friendship capable of "breaking all barriers".
Dr Addo-Kufuor also called on Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State before addressing a durbar of all ranks and civilian employees of the 66 Artillery Regiment.
