Accra, the nation's capital is to be upgraded from its present status to that of the gateway to the West African Sub-region. And to achieve this, the Greater Accra Regional Co-ordinating Council is seriously aiming at attaining high levels of investment, promoting tourism and thereby increase employment in the region. The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr.. Joshua Alabi, disclosed this when he took his turn at the revived Meet the Press series in Accra today. He said the Council will vigorously pursue the issue of sanitation which is pre-requisite towards increased investment and tourism development. And to meet the vote of development in the city, he said his administration is grouping all departments which are involved in the processing of building permits together under one umbrella to accelerate the issuance of building permits.
