Achimota suicide: Police suspect foul play

Preliminary investigations by Police into an alleged suicide incident at Achimota in Accra suggest the act may not have been suicide after all.

District Commander of the Tesano Police, DSP Edward Tetteh says facts gathered so far indicate that the man who allegedly hanged himself Thursday morning may have been killed before being hanged on a tree Thursday morning.

According to the Police, though reports indicate the man believed to be in his 40s committed suicide, his outfit is convinced the gentleman was murdered though an autopsy is yet to be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.

DSP Edward Tetteh said the next step of their investigation is to seek help from the network service providers for information about his name and also see management of mybet.com to confirm if the man was there prior to his death.
