CPL Mathew Adabuga, a king-pin in the staging of the 31st December Coup, will, early next week, appear before the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC) to be cross-examined by Captain Kojo Tsikata ( rtd), the former head of national security, and perhaps, the former Head of State , Flt. Lt. JJ. Rawlings, if he so wishes.

Mr. Mohammed Affum, Director of Public Affairs, of the National reconciliation Commission, disclosed this in a statement signed and issued by him and made available to Daily Guide, yesterday.

The statement affirmed that Adabuga, Chris Asher, Jnr, ASP William Oduro, Kwabena Adjepong, the press secretary to President Kuffuor, are billed to appear before it. They are appearing in connection with investigations, into the murder of the three high court judges and a retired army officer, who were killed in 1982, and the execution of senior military officers in 1979, from Monday, June 14 to June 17.

Also billed to put in appearances are Mr. Kweku Baako, editor in-chief of The Crusading Guide, who will be cross-examined by Mr. Raid Hozaifeh a Lebanese ?Ghanaian and a friend of former president Jerry Rawlings, in a petition over the seizure of property belonging to the Goka family.

Other notable personalities expected to testify at the NRC, next week, are Professor Agyeman Badu Akosah, Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Christian Goka, brother of Mawuli Dra-Goka, who was executed by the Rawlings, led PNDC regime, and Sqn Ldr George Tagoe (Rtd), who claims that he was harassed because he paid Rawlings? bar bills.

Mr Chris Asher, Jnr, who stormed the NRC many months ago, from his Europe base to give testimony about his encounter with Cpl Amedeka and others, linked with the murder of the judges and the retired military officer while they were all at the Nsawam Prison, has already served notice during a telephone interview that when he shows up, he would make Captain Kojo Tsikata (rtd) leave the NRC chamber with a ?squeezed face.?
