Adaklu-Ahunda (V/R), April 19, GNA - Mr Mawuli Dabi, District Chief Executive of Adaklu-Anyigbe, said the Government would release 6.6 billion cedis to the District for a capacity building programme in August, 2006 to train the youth in technical, vocational skills and handicraft.

Mr Dabi urged the people to apply for the poverty alleviation fund after they had formed themselves into productive groups. He said the controversy over the citing of the district capital at Agotime-Kpetoe should be a thing of the past since the District "is for all of us and not for any individual. "No town is under any town, only a capital is sited somewhere", he said.

Mrs Juliana Azumah Mensa, MP for the area, cautioned the youth against teenage pregnancy and the HIV/AIDS pandemic. She urged girls to take their education seriously and to desist from pre-marital sex. Mr Maxwell Gbakah, the chairman of the festival planning committee, urged citizens of the area to support development projects including the provision of potable water and desks for the local school.
