Members of a pro-NDC pressure group, Action Movement of the NDC have pooh-poohed the National Organizer of the party, Kofi Adams on his lawsuit against the group for allegedly defaming him[Adams] in their comments made over the party’s 2016 electoral defeat.
Adams a week ago sued the group, and Network Broadcasting Limited, operators of Accra-based Radio Gold but the group claimed they are yet to receive any summons from the plaintiff.
“We have still not received anything from Kofi yet. We are still waiting to be served with Kofi Adams’ summons. We don’t mind, if he can serve us here now,” the group said at a Press conference Wednesday.
The group Action Movement of the NDC – at an initial Presser had held that former President Mahama and his ‘greedy’ appointees should be blamed for sending the party into forced opposition.
They are reported to have also described Mr. Kofi Adams as a “useless National Organiser and Campaign Coordinator” who caused the defeat of the NDC in the December general elections during a press conference carried on Radio Gold.
Spokesperson for the group, Emmanuel Ashaley Tetteh, who doubles as the Communications Officer for the Klottey Korle Constituency of the NDC in an earlier interview with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM said it is disappointing that Kofi Adams chose to deal with party issues in court without considering to address the matter at party level.
Meanwhile, the group is calling for an early Congress for the NDC party to enable them regroup after the party’s worst defeat ever.
Kojo Hamenya Keglo addressing a press conference Wednesday said they are ready to support any candidate elected to lead NDC for the 2020 agenda.
