Office of former MP for Mampong Constituency, Hon. Francis Addai Nimo has denied allegations they are circulating 2020 presidential campaign posters of one of NPP’s founding fathers, Hon. Addai Nimo in Kumasi.

The posters, which have started popping up in the Ashanti region's capital - Kumasi specifically Suame Roundabout, have the inscription “NPP 2020 – Addai Nimoh” with a mammoth crowd at the background describing him as the party’s potential leader for the election.

But a press release from his office signed by one of his aides, Justice Anokye Bempah wrote, their attention has been drawn to a poster in circulation in Kumasi announcing Hon. Addai Nimo interest in contesting the next Presidential Primaries of the new patriotic party NPP. I wish to place on record that my BOSS has neither circulated nor caused to be circulated any such poster announcing his presidential intentions.

Mr. Anokye accused the National Democratic Congress ( NDC ) of masterminding posting of the bills , he said , is a ploy by NDC to divert well meaningful Ghanaians’ from seeing the good works of H.E Nana Addo Danquah ever since he was sworn into government to manage the affairs of the country in 2017 .

He again, advised party members, the media and the general public to ignore the poster urging members of the NPP to remain steadfast and united for the task ahead in the coming years.

The former NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region, who was a contender in the party’s presidential primary in 2014 which saw President Akufo-Addo emerge victorious, has, however, denied having knowledge of the posters.

“I don't think my boss; Hon. Addai Nimo can lower himself in this 2020 posters thing. I know he was a contender in the party’s presidential primary in 2014 which saw President Akufo-Addo emerge victorious. He has however dumped his ambitions of contesting 2020 NPP elections if any. He had not made up his mind to contest in the 2020 election, let alone put out posters to that effect' Justice Anokye said .
