A former Member of Parliament for Adentan, Kojo Adu- Asare, has denied reports that he broke down and wept when he appeared before the Presidential Commission investigating Ghana’s poor showing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

According to him, the media misunderstood his ‘emotional’ demeanor before the Dzamefe Commission for weeping.

Adu-Asare who was the head of the Protocol and Supporters Welfare union for the Brazil 2014 World Cup reportedly broke down at the commission when he recounted, what in his view, were insults he suffered from the public in spite of the “sweat” and “hard work” he put into his work as chair of the committee.

But speaking to Asempa FM, Thursday, The head of the Youth Enterprise Support fund, said he never cried at the commission.

“I appeared before the commission five days after my mother had died and yet I was sitting there hearing all the things that had been said about me.

“I was emotional but I never cried and you can confirm from all the pictures that came out after I had appeared” he noted.

He said he was glad that at least the Commissioners could admit to the fact that he was ‘honest’ with them.
