It keeps putrefying and attention must be drawn to the fact that the sores of the New Patriotic Party continues to eat into the structural bones of the opposition party as the days go by.

At a proposed Steering Committee gathering, only one executive showed up to assist the National Chairman moderate a meeting witnessed by empty chairs.

It is on this note that Dr. Amoako Baah, a Political Science Lecturer with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Technology (KNUST) has observed that the “NPP is divided.”

Reports from within the NPP has it that Kwabena Agyapong was the only national executive who showed up at the meeting summoned by Chairman Paul Afoko.

The absence of the other executives has resurrected debates whether the NPP is indeed ready for the 2016 general elections; and speaking on Peace FM’s Evening News, Dr. Amoako Baah stated that if necessary steps are not taken to address the issue, the party will implode.

As an analyst who understands the dynamics of politics, he advised the leaders of the party especially Mr. Paul Afoko and Mr. Kwabena Agyapong to dress down their “King Kong” way of doing things.

“We seem not to understand what leadership is about. It isn’t about showcasing your level of power. At times, the leader must be the one begging those under him to bring about peace. It is called servant leadership”, he said.
