Aide and spokesperson for NPP’s National Chairman, Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei has described Nana Akufo-Addo’s lawyer, Philip Addison as an unfledged politician who needs more tuition.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party parliamentary aspirant for Korle Klottey is not “disciplined” – after calling on the party leadership to question his recent utterances on national chairman, Paul Afoko and general secretary Kwabena Agyapong.
Philip Addison alleged that - Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong are sabotaging the party’s presidential bid of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The duo have been accused of encouraging divisions within the party with their avid resolution to scuttle the party’s campaign to recapture power in 2016.
Even though their accusers have fallen short of giving clear instances to buttress their claims, Mr. Addison told Joy News that the perceptions of Afoko and Kwabena cannot be discounted.
“There is a perception out there that they are working against the presidential candidate, and it is a very strong perception. The burden is on them to discharge that perception. The ball is in their court to prove otherwise,” he said.
Responding to the claims on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Mo Ntie" Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei rubbished Addison’s assertion; “he should rather concentrate on his election and stop the accusations. He has just gained favour from Nana Addo’s fans, but that will heed to nothing”.
He told host Kwesi Aboagye that; “victory for election 2016 is not automatic for the NPP. NPP must rather work hard and stop the blame games”.
He, however, advised his learned friend to “talk like an elderly and be factual in his utterances. He must be trained on how to talk on radio”.
Lawyer Nana yaw Osei further noted that; “Afoko is really worried about all the happenings in the party. His aim is to win power for the party in 2016 not to sabotage someone”.
