Ghana lost its third qualifier in Group Six of the 2002 nations cup match honoured in DR Congo on Sunday. The half time score was 2-0 in a match watched by a capacity crowd of 80,000.
Scorers were DR Congo, Michel Dinzey 10th and Mputu Mbungu 13th minutes while Ghana's Kwame Ayew pulled one back in the 77th minute.
Ghana's defender Samuel Johnson was red carded in the 89th minute.
In Bulawayo on Sunday, Zimbabwe lost at home to Lesotho 1-2.
