Afro Arab Group partners East Ayawaso Municipal Assembly to build modern toilet facility in Mamobi

The East Ayawaso Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, has collaborated with Afro Arab Group, the parent company of Afro Arab Micro Finance Limited to construct a modern toilet facility in the Mamobi community in Accra.

The site of the modern 24-seater water closet toilet facility, was previously a dilapidated 12 seater KVIP, but Afro Arab joined hands with the Municipal Assembly to rebuild the facility into a modern toilet facility.

The project was jointly commissioned yesterday by the East Ayawaso Municipal Assembly and Afro Arab Group.

Speaking at the commissioning of the project, the Chief Executive Officer of the East Ayawaso Municipal Assembly, Hajia Salma Adam said the project would be of immense benefit to the Mamobi community and its environs.

Hajia Salma indicated that the facility will also help community members who would be empowered to take care of the facility as attendants and cleaners to ensure that the facility is kept clean all the time and also well maintained.

She also urged community members to help in the maintenance of the facility by not littering refuse in and around the facility.

The Chief Executive of Afro Arab Group, Alhaji Abdul Salamu Amadu expressed delight over the successful completion of the project, adding the he was happy members of his community would have a convenient place to ease themselves.

“I grew up here and if today I am a businessman and I can help my people, I have to,” Alhaji Salamu said.

“I am happy I have been able to support this project for my people because members of the community will have a decent place to ease.”

“This project is part of our contribution to community and more of such projects will come,” added the Afro Arab boss.

The Afro Arab Group is a conglomerate into banking, real estate, travel agency, sports investment, etc.

The group, through its Chairman, Alhaji Salamu Amadu, is renowned for its philanthropic work, especially in the Zongo communities.

One of the group’s companies, Afro Arab Micro Finance, recently survived the Bank of Ghana’s ruthless cleansing of the banking sector where a number of micro finance companies who were operating without adhering to banking regulations were closed down.
