Ashaiman, Nov. 04 GNA - Mr Alfred Kwame Agbesi, MP for Ashaiman has called on the Muslim community in his constituency to be mindful of the current socio-economic condition and spend within their limits, during the Eudl-Ul-Fitr celebrations.

In a goodwill message, which was read in all the Mosques at Ashaiman on Thursday to mark the end of the fasting, he noted that though the month-long of the holy fasting was followed by feasting and pageantry, however, this must be done with caution so they do not over spend to the detriment of their basic necessities of life. School fees, utility bills, clothing and shelter should be of priority and therefore they should not let all their spending go into the feast and joyful celebrations.

Mr Agbesi congratulated the Muslims for exhibiting sacrifice, discipline and endurance during the period of Ramadan and hoped this would be continued through out their daily lives. He entreated them to eschew negative tendencies in their endeavours and rather come together with one another, irrespective of their religion and tribe, so that in unity they forge ahead with a common purpose for achievement.

The MP asked for God's guidance and protection for the leadership of the nation and all Ghanaians that they enter the New Year in good health and with good tidings.
