Agona Nsaba (C/R), Aug. 30, GNA - Mr Tetteh Danyo, Vice Chairman of the Agona East Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed dismay about the delay on the part of the National and Regional Executives of the Party in conducting primaries to select a candidate for Election 2004.

He told the GNA in an interview that if the National and Regional Executives failed to conduct the primaries NDC would suffer heavy defeat in the elections.

Mr Theophilus Maranga, a Lawyer in New York and Mr Smauel Kweku Adu Yeboah, the MP, are contesting the slot.

Mr Danyo said the National and Regional Executives fixed July 30 for the primaries but cancelled it and cautioned them against dropping any of the two contestants to avert possible defection of Party members in the Constituency.

He appealed to Professor John Evans Attah Mills, the Presidential Candidate of the NDC and Former President Jerry John Rawlings, the Founder of the Party, to intervene to save the Party from collapsing since the Constituency Executives were not happy about the delay in conducting the primaries.
