The Executives and entire members of the Agona East branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have expressed their deepest appreciation to the President, for appointing Mr. Francis Duodu- Addo, as the new District Chief Executive (DCE) for Agona East.

Mr. Oscar Mensah, Agona East Constituency Secretary of the Party made this known to the press after the announcement of the nomination by the President at Agona Swedru.

He said the Executives and party supporters were most grateful to the President for the nomination, and hoped the Assembly members would endorse the nominee for the Agona East Constituency to pursue aggressive “Better Ghana Agenda” programmes towards 2016 elections to move the district forward.

Mr. Mensah said the nominee was selected from among 10 applicants, and was optimistic that his appointment, will go a long way to unite the party.

He appealed to people in Agona East to put aside their political affiliations and rally behind the new DEC to promote development.

The Consistency Secretary also thanked the Central Regional Minister. Mr. Aquinas Tawiah Quansah and his Deputy Mrs. Queenster Pokuaah Sawyer, for their recommendation to the President to appoint a new DCE for the area.

The new DCE, if endorsed, would replace Mr. Martin Luther Obeng, who was removed from office in October.
