Madam Hannah Asamoah, the Agona East Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has donated various items to four Muslim communities in the constituency as part of the Eid-ul Fitil celebration.

The beneficiary communities including Agona Duakwa, Agona Asafo, Agona Kwanyako and Agona Namawura received 110 mini bags of rice, boxes of tomatoes and boxes of cooking oil.

Speaking to the media, Madam Asamoah, the sole female Constituency Youth Organizer of the NPP in the Central, said the donation was to build strong relationships with all in the society.

Madam Asamoah, who was accompanied by Mr Albert Quainoo, Agona East Second Vice Chairman of the Agona East Constituency, joined the Muslims to celebrate the event.

She said that the NPP led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Vice Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia would continue to support activities of Muslims in Agona East and other parts of the country.

The Youth Organizer, who is also Assemblywoman for Agona Asafo, said government has put in place measures to improve infrastructural development in zongo communities hence, the creation of Ministry of Zongo and Inner City Development, to put into effect such plans.

Madam Asamoah, who is also a tutor at the Namawura Community Senior High School (NAMASCO), urged Muslim mothers to encourage their girl-child to take advantage of Nana Akufo-Addo’s free SHS policy to ensure that their children go to secondary school.

The Youth Organizer called on the supporters of the NPP to bury their political differences and urged polling station executives and Constituency executives to reconcile personal squabbles with the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDECs) to sustain the party at the grassroots.

Mrs Muniratu Osuman, Agona Duakwa Zongo NPP Polling Station Women Organizer and Mr Abdul Raman Suley (Olando), Assemblyman for Agona Duakwa/Ankobea Electoral Area, who jointly received the items on behalf of Muslims thanked Madam Asamoah for the donation.

Mrs Osuman said the donation from Madam Asamoah has proved that the promise made to the delegates during the campaign period is being realised.

Mr Mutala Mohammed spokespersons of Agona Duakwa Sarichi Zongo, Alhaji Abdul Karimu thanked Madam Asamoah for her kind gesture.

He commended Madam Asamoah, Mr Dennis Aramh-Frempong, the District Chief Executive for Agona East, for their various efforts to assist Muslims during the Ramadan period.
