Agyarko’s widow organises health walk, soccer gala ahead of Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections

Wife of the late Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, Lydia Alhassan has organised a health walk and soccer gala ahead of the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

The health walk and soccer gala held in memory of her late husband started at Okponglo Junction and extended all the way to La Bawaleshie School Park.

In attendance were the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, some Members of Parliament, NPP executives and party members.

The widow of the late MP for the constituency emerged victorious in the party’s primaries at Dzorwulu JHS by securing 441 votes out of 672 total ballots cast.

Ahead of the planned by-election for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency on January 31, wife of the late Agyarko has been organising events to among other things, register her name in the good books of the people of Ayawaso.

Last weekend, Lydia Alhassan organised a cleanup exercise at Dzorwulu and its environs with massive support from party members including Sammy Awuku.

Speaking to Ghanaweb at the health walk and soccer gala today, January 19, the Members of Parliament vowed to support Lydia Alhassan in order to retain the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.
