Agyei Darko Is a Liar ? Mrs. Rawlings

Former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings has debunked statements being made by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Kwadwo Agyei Darko that she had been moving from one head of state to another, going for alms.

She described the minister's statement as a blatant lie, adding that the Hon. Agyei does not deserve to be given the title ?honourable? neither can be described as a gentleman, if he moves from radio station to the other, insulting she and her husband and spreading lies about their lifestyle.

Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings was speaking in an interview monitored on Radio Gold this morning dubbed ?Sixty Minutes?.

According to Nana Konadu, she is paid anytime an invitation is extended to her to assist in the running of an organisation that seeks to enhance the development of women. In her own words ?if she is invited by the first lady of another country, whom she had known for over ten years, or I speak on a platform and they pay me, what is wrong with that??

She said the fact that she is paid for doing such jobs does not mean she moves with a cup in her hand begging for alms.

It would be recalled that, Hon Agyei Darko accused the former first lady of begging for alms from heads of states under the pretext of ill-health and saying bad things about the NPP government.
