Accra May 13, GNA- Three Ahmadiyya Muslim Doctors from the United Kingdom have arrived in the country to explore possibilities of establishing a medical school in the country.
The team, led by Dr Fateh Ahmad would also explore ways of expanding the Ahmadiyya Muslim Hospitals and clinics including its allopathic and homeopathic units.
A statement issued by the Mission and signed by Ahmad N. Tumasi Public Relations Officer of the Mission on Thursday said the arrival of the delegation followed the historic visit by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatual Masih V, Supreme head Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to Ghana in March this year.
The team, which was met on arrival by Maulvi Wahab Adam, Ameer and Missionary in Charge of Ahmadiyya Muslim, Ghana, held consultations with the Ministries of Health and Education and the Provost as well as the Registrar of the College of Health Sciences of the University of Ghana. Other members of the delegation included Dr Shahnawaz Rasheed from the UK and Dr Agha Khan of the US.
