Akorabo (Eastern Region), 5 Nov. The people of Akorabo in the Suhum- Kraboa-Coaltar District are constructing a six-classroomed block for the Islamic community primary school and a three-classroomed block with an office and a store for the kindergarten, all estimated at about 45 million cedis. Mr Alfred Tettey Kusah, Assembly Member for the area who conducted newsmen round the projects, said the people have moulded 1,500 blocks, stocked three trips of sand and two trips of stone to complete the two projects. He said the projects which are expected to be completed early next year, are being funded through a special rate of 10,000 cedis per resident. Mr Kusah said the residents have already renovated an old bungalow of the defunct Cocoa Project of the Ghana Cocoa Board, to house the health personnel manning the community health centre in the town.
