Akropong School for the Blind gets logistical support

The Akropong School for the Blind has received logistical security and electrical equipment valued at GHC14,000.00 to beef up security at the School to avert any possible calamity and fire outbreaks.

The logistical security and electrical equipment presented by Services Merchandize Limited (SML), a pro-active dealer providing quality electrical equipment clubbed with top notch service to both industrial and commercial projects, include 105 pieces of 15 watts led bulbs.

Others are 35 pieces of ceiling fan, 45 pieces of one gang two way, 40 pieces of 3x3 patress box, 30 pieces of 3x6 patress box, 40 lengths 16x25 trucking (PVC), five pieces two gang, two ways switch, and one piece 12 way MCB (TPN).

The rest are one piece eight way MCB (TPN), two pieces 18x24 meter board, nine coils of 2.5mm conduit cable, eight coils of 1.5mm conduit cable, one coil 0.75mmx2 core cable, 106 batten fitting, five pieces 150 watts LED flood lights, and 30 pieces 13 amps double socket.

Mr Daniel Oppong Lartey, Guidance and Counselling Coordinator at Akropong School for the Blind, who received the items, commended SML for the donation which would help improved security on the campus.

He described the donation as divine intervention, “it would help us resolved all our electrical challenges to ensure that the students stay within safe environment and not exposed to dangerous electrical products.

Mr Lartey said the LED bulbs would also help reduce the electric city bills of the school, “we are grateful to SML for heeding to our call for support”.

Mr Vijay P. Gokaldas, Electrical Product Authentication Expert and SML Chief Executive Officer in a statement read on his behalf, noted the company considered the special school’s needs as corporate need.

“We must all come together to support institutions and individuals with special needs to enhance their living conditions and share in their plight,” he said.

Mr Gokaldas said SML stands for top notch quality products and with decades of experience and ability to supply to any project in an effort to reduce costs without sacrificing quality and efficiency.

The SML CEO said conformity with SML’s commitment to standards and quality; it has engaged the services of Use Certified Electrician Association to undertake all the installation and electrical works at the School.
