Akuapem North MP donates to the Muslims in the constituency

Ramadan is a period of spiritual contact with Allah, where the Muslim community fast and pray for the intervention from Allah.

Member of Parliament for Akropong constituency, Honorable Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei who doubles as the deputy minister for information and the Municipal Chief Executive of the Akuapem Municipality, Honorable Dennis Edward Aboagye donated food items to the Muslim communities in the constituency.

The donations included bags of rice, boxes of oil, bags of sugar, money and other important food items.

Addressing the leaders of Muslim community, Hon. Nana Ama Dokua expressed her gratitude for their continuous intercession through prayers and congratulated them for successfully ending the fast. She indicated her joy with the manner in which all religious sect have been interacting within the constituency in peace and unity and urged them to continue on the same path. She assured them of the government's resolve to support the Zongo communities to accelerate development with the creation of a whole ministry for this agenda as a confirmation of her claim.

Alhaji Jibril speaking on behalf of the Muslim community, reiterated their commitment and support to the government and the leadership within the constituency to ensure the aspirations are met for the development of the people. "We believe in the Member of Parliament, the municipal chief Executive and the NPP government as whole, on our part, all we can do is to continuously pray to Allah to grant you the wisdom and strength as you embark on this change agenda".

They officially announced the Islamic Names for the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nana Ama Dokua was named Hajia Sadia and Hon. Dennis Aboagye as Alhaji Mustapha.
