Akufo-Addo & NPP Snub Independence Day

... Despite Official Invitation!

Instead of taking advantage of Ghana’s 54th Birthday celebration and at least pretend to love Ghana more than themselves, Kufuor, Aliu Mahama, Akufo-Addo, Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey and the NPP once again proved to all right-thinking Ghanaians that they love the NPP more than Mother Ghana.

On Sunday, 6th March, 2011, (which was a Sabbath day that should have been kept holy), the NPP once again defiled and abused the spirit of Mother Ghana. The descendants of the bomb-throwing UP tradition that did not want Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to gain independence for Ghana, once again exhibited that their anti-Ghana agenda by not joining the rest of Ghana celebrate the nation’s birthday.

Unable to get the NPP elements within the teaching fraternity to disrupt the very colourful and well-attended Independence Day celebrations nationwide, the NPP decided to boycott the celebrations.

Per the thinking of Akufo-Addo and his small-minded and tunnel-vision followers, if the teachers will not boycott, the NPP will boycott because “All boycott be boycott”. So when all nation-loving Ghanaians and political parties gathered at the Independence Square in Accra to give glory and thanks to God for an additional year, as well as watch the youth of Ghana display their marching and other skills, Kufuor, Aliu Mahama, Akufo-Addo, Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey and the entire membership of the NPP, were nowhere to be found.

The NPP stayed away from Ghana’s birthday party because the NPP is not wielding political power.

Since the days of yore, once the UP tradition is not wielding political power, nothing good must come the way of Ghana.

For them; political power belongs to the UP tradition and so if they are not in power, the interest of Ghana means nothing to them.

The Ghanaians Lens has picked up snippets of information that indicates that the NPP, in trying to throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians and as usual go on a propaganda lying binge, will create the false impression that the party was not invited officially.

However, because facts are facts, checks from the State Protocol Department reveals that the NPP was officially invited by the State to partake in Ghana’s 54th Independence Day celebration.

The records have it that apart from separately inviting John Agyekum Kufuor and Aliu Mahama, because of the their status as former President and Vice President respectively, 20 cards were sent to the Kokomlemle Headquarters of the NPP for the party to use its discretion to decide those who will represent the party. Indeed, sending blank cards to the head offices of opposition political parties has always been, and continues to be the practice.

In the case of President Atta Mills, even though he was a former Vice President at the time that he was Flagbearer of the NDC, the Kufuor Administration did not give him any special recognition.

What it means is that, having been given 20 cards, at least Akufo-Addo, Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey, Sir John, and 17 other NPP apparatchiks could have been present at the Independence Day celebrations.

It is therefore ipso fact that Akufo-Addo and co, out of their evil-minded volition chose to stay away from the anniversary parade.

It meant nothing to Akufo-Addo and co that the day was handed over to the youth of Ghana to display their, marching, cultural, and other skills.

Of course, why will Akufo-Addo be bothered about the positive center stage role given to the youth of Ghana on Independence Day?

After all, in the run up to the 2008 election, when he had the opportunity to organize the youth, he chose to send them to the La Pleasure Beach to, dance, smoke wee, and have indiscriminate sex.

It is very obvious that Akufo-Addo does not have the interest of Ghana at heart yet he wants to become President of Ghana.

If on a very important day such as 6th March, Akufo-Addo cannot swallow his stinking pride and filthy arrogance, then he is certainly not fit to be President of Ghana.

Akufo-Addo wants to become President of Ghana yet, he does not want to see Ghana move forward in the right direction.

Left to Akufo-Addo, Ghana must die; but GHANA WILL NOT DIE!!!
