Akufo-Addo accused of betrayal

The multi-media group, particularly Joy FM, is said to be very angry.

The radio station’s anger stems from the fact that the 2016 Flagbearer and the twice-defeated Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has not been fair to them.

According to an insider, the station holds the view that, Nana Addo has been very ungrateful after all the years of vile propaganda to project him, especially during the 2008/2012 general elections.

The source added that, having sometimes been accused as doing the bidding of Nana Addo and the NPP to the disadvantage of its political opponents, particularly the NDC, Nana Addo should have reciprocated the love shown him, by granting Joy FM the privilege of studio interview instead of going to their competitor, Starr FM.

“To be honest, Nana Addo has betrayed our trust for him with his decision to choose Starr FM over us after all the propaganda to project his presidential ambition,” another Joy staff stated.

According to him, Nana Addo has confirmed rumors of how ungrateful he is, and that Joy FM will defiantly pay him back in his own coin next year, as he campaigns again to be voted as President.

“Once he has decided not to recognize our efforts, we will also ignore him when he needs us most, next year. In fact, Nana Addo has engaged in gross betrayal following his decision to pride Starr FM over us (Joy), and we will certainly pay him back,” this angry staff stated.

But when The Informer reached a close aide to the NPP 2016 Flagbearer for comments, he said that the entire multi-media group can decided to do the worse.

The aide (name withheld) who sounds very angry, said that Joy FM cannot blackmail his boss with its threats, and pointed out that Nana Addo decided to honour the invitation extended to him by Starr FM, having carefully examined its listenership profile.

According to him, Joy FM has seen a sharp decline in its listenership profile; and that it was only wise on the part of Nana Addo to go to Starr FM which, at the most per IPSO’s latest radio survey, is percentage higher than Joy FM (12%, against 11%).

The NPP 2008/2012 Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Wednesday April 15, 2015, featured on Starr FM talk show - the Starr Chat, hosted by Kwabena Anokye Adisi commonly known as Bola Ray in which he made a number of fake confessions to have regretted over his warmongering comments including his “all die be die and yen akanfuo.”

The decision to appear on the said programme is what has set Joy FM “ablaze” with all the confessions and threats.
