President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has extended the tenure of the office of the Auditor-General, Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu for the next two years.
He was due for statutory retirement from Service on 1st August, 2024.
Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu was sworn into office by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the new Auditor-General in 2021.
His appointment took effect from August 27, 2021, replacing Daniel Yao Domelevo, former Auditor-General.
Before his appointment, Mr Asiedu was the Acting Auditor-General.
