Dr. Bawumia believes the NPP has transformed the country despite the short space of time.
According to him, the Nana Addo government has done tremendously well to deliver on most of its promises made during the 2016 elections.
The NPP government took over power from the NDC administration after the 2016 election Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia believes Nana Addo has achieved more in his 18 months in office than many previous governments did over two terms.
According to him, despite the New Patriotic Party (NPP) being in power for less than two years, the government has been more productive than others did in eight years.
Speaking to the Muslim community in the Upper East Region during a one-day visit to commemorate the month of Ramada, he said President Akufo-Addo has proved to be a man of his words.
In his view, the President has managed to implement major campaign promises within a short period of time despite inheriting a shaky economy.
“He has done so much in 18 months that many other governments were not able to do in eight years,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
“The President assumed office with a very difficult economy. He has been at work for the past 18 months now.
By the grace of the Almighty God, he has been able to do a lot of things he promised this country he was going to do.” “Many people thought what he promised was not possible. He has been able to do many of the things within 18 months.
He was able to relieve a lot of our farmers by introducing the Free Senior High School [Policy] which has brought tremendous relief to many people who have their children in senior high schools,” he added.
