The Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration has failed Mamprugu in the North East Region of Ghana and has nothing to show for its stewardship according to Mr. Abdul-Razak Imoro, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) Regional aspirant.

Mr. Abdul-Razak Imoro who is vying for the Regional Communication Officer of the NDC has accused the Akufo-Addo administration of abandoning many of the projects started during the NDC regime.

He expressed disappointment that a number of the projects remain uncompleted since the NDC administration left office in January 2017 and was wondering what the President will be visiting the North East Region for since the Nana Addo government has no single project to boast off.

Speaking during his campaign tour of the North East Region, Abdul-Razak described the situation as unfortunate and unforgivable.

“It is a pity because everything that we started has come to a standstill. I go round the new region and most of the roads are still where we left them. All the community Day Secondary Schools have been abandoned. The tragedy is, if you ask the New Patriotic Party (NPP) what they are doing about the road they will say they have a four-year mandate. If you ask about the lofty promises Dr. Bawumia made to the people of Mamprugu, they tell you he is considering the nation at large and not only Mamprugu, forgetting that the NDC in Mamprugu did not force him to make promises their party cannot fulfil.” he said.

According to Abdul-Razak between 2013 and 2016, John Dramani Mahama administration undertook several projects across the North East Region some of which were awarded and under construction in Mamprugu before NDC left office in January 2017.

He cited the Walewale township roads, Nalerigu township roads, Wulugu -Kpasenkpe road, Nasia-Janga road, Yagaba township road and the Walewale- Zangum road.
