A former Director of Communications for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi has said that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo deserves commendation for performing well in the first year of his administration and deserves a second term.

According to him, Nana Addo has demonstrated his willingness to truly transform the country through the introduction of various innovative policies like Free SHS,One-District-One Factory Project , Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) and others.

One of these policies, he said, is the free Senior High School (SHS) which has provided education free of charge for first SHS students.

“When we came into office, we were met with huge debts and no money, it is for this reason that we put in place the appropriate measures to strengthen our monetary system. I believe that is the reason why Ghana is recognized as one of the world’s fastest growing economies,” Adomako Baafi told Lawyer Ohene Gyan on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7

He thus called on Ghanaians to continue to believe in the Akufo-Addo-led administration to deliver the best to Ghanaians.

According to him, under the Akufo-Addo’ government, the country would see monumental growth and development and in the coming year. He said in 2020, there would be more development and massive road sector development as stated in the 2020 Budget.

The NDC argue that the NPP has not been able to manage the economy to expectation and has also done worse things they accused the NDC government of.

Adomako Baafi said under President Akufo-Addo, a lot of social interventions had been introduced, including the famous free Senior High School policy to ameliorate the sufferings of Ghanaians, while many Ghanaians had been employed in the public sector.
