President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has the ability to develop the country far better than he is doing at the moment, former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South constituency, Fritz Baffour, has said.
According to him, Mr Akufo-Addo is being held from achieving his objectives for the country.
He believes that although the president has implemented some policies that are affecting the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian, his achievements so far do not match his capabilities.
Assessing the president’s performance while speaking on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana programme on Tuesday, 10 April, Mr Baffour, who was Minister of Information in the Mills’ administration, said: “I honestly think he could have done far better in the two years”.
“The reason why I am very reluctant to comment on his administration is that unfortunately, I am not the first Baffour of old where I was apolitical, I am an NDC member, so if I make a criticism of Akufo-Addo at the moment it will be looked at in the light of the fact that I am an NDC member, but I think he could have done far better because his capabilities are far more than what is being put out now.
“I believe he is held back. I believe that this guy who I knew and I could say that he has wonderful plans for Ghana has under-achieved because of his capabilities.”
