Former Vice-President Kwesi Amissah Arthur has observed that the performance of the current Akufo-Addo administration is appalling and nothing to write home about.
He expressed his displeasure that the handling of the economy and the manner in which the affairs of the country has been run by the government.
The former Veep criticized the New Patriotic Party administration for its management of the economy insisting that the NPP government could have done much better in one year.
Amissah Arthur noted that many Ghanaians are suffering and hope that in the coming years the government will resolve the problems.
The former Vice President made the statement in Ho on Christmas Day, 25th December 2017 when he spoke to the media after donations to children on admission at the Ho Regional and Municipal hospitals with his wife, Matilda Amissah-Arthur.
The former Vice President under the Mahama Administration stated emphatically that the NPP government's decision to refusal to call for assistance from the NDC has contributed to their woes.
He noted that Akufo-Addo has copied many of the NDC policies and is struggling to implement them.
Citing the Free SHS, he remarked that it was adopted and implemented by the NPP government without the full conceptualization and appreciation of the cost involved.
He advised that the solution to the problems associated with it will require more expert consultations to better define goals and outcomes.
The couple was accompanied by the NDC MP for the Area, Benjamin Kpodo and went round the various wards to interact with patients on admission and to wish them well.
They presented assorted gifts such as fruits, drinks, biscuits, cooking oil and bags of rice to the children's ward and staff of the hospital.
