The twice-defeated presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Williams Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is at his wits ends.

He is so angry about how The Informer newspaper, is with all precision, getting exclusive stories about goings-on in his camp.

A source close to his camp has hinted The Informer that, Nana Akufo-Addo is very livid at the last story the paper (Informer) carried out about his faction’s reaction to Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku’s decision to contest him (Nana Addo) for the flagbearership slot of the NPP.

“Nana Addo is at a lost as to how The Informer has always been spot-on about activities within his camp and has, therefore, tasked some operatives of his to be on the look-out for those who have been leaking this sensitive information to the paper,” the source revealed.

Asked, what will happen to such whistleblowers, the source replied that, “with the extent of damage The Informer has caused Nana Addo‘s presidential ambition always with accurate reportage on vital activities within his camp; Nana Addo has no other option than to order his thugs to beat those moles up”.

“As his stock-in-trade, Nana Addo will stop at nothing, but to command his macho men to beat up those in the business of leaking sensitive information from his camp to newspapers, particularly, The Informer,” the source added.

According to him, the reaction from his office with regards to the said publication denotes how serious Nana Addo takes exception to the continuous leakage of information from his camp.

Truly, one Eugene Arhin, acting as press secretary to the 2008/12 flagbearer of the NPP, issued a statement (published in yesterday’s New Statesman Newspaper) in reaction to The Informer’s publication of Friday April 25, 2014 - of how a close associate of Nana Addo, in an exclusive telephone conversation with this paper, opined that Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku should stop wasting his time and resources, when the news broke out that he (Apraku) was on a nationwide tour to canvass support towards his ambition to lead the NPP.

Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku was reported to have met with polling station and constituency executives of the party, soliciting their support.
