The National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has charged the Flagbearer of the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, to desist from peddling falsehood about the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Adams entreated the NPP Flagbearer to desist from throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians in his pursuit of political power.
‘I thought that at this age, lies should not be part of a person like him, but for purposes of power he wants to continue the lying spree, it’s not good. He just lied in his so-called true state of the nation address and many other things. He was just peddling falsehood and making unnecessary promises and claims,’ he fumed.
Nana Addo on Monday read to Ghanaians what he described as the ‘true’ state of the nation address after President Mahama presented the state of the nation address in Parliament on last week Thursday.
According to the Flagbearer of NPP, President Mahama deceived Ghanaians in his address.
However, in a rebuttal on Ultimate breakfast show hosted by Prince Minkah, the National Organiser of NDC described Nana Addo as a liar.
‘Nana Addo has been exposed on the Salaga hospital project and other issues as a liar, for saying that it's only heap of sand at the site. When work is on -going,’ he stated.
He observed that lots of health facility projects are being carried out by the government across the country.
‘There are so many regional hospitals being built across the country; they are built to employ these nurses that Akufo-Addo is saying are unemployed. So between you who is rumbling and making noise and the one who is investing in health facilities, who should be believed by Ghanaians,’ he asked.
He wondered why Nana Addo refused to gather information from right sources such as Members of Parliament (MPs) and Engineers than resorting to social media information.
‘Mr. Akufo-Addo completely stood before the people of this country and told lies, plain lies knowing very well that they are lies, why do I say so, Mr. Akufo-Addo somewhere last year, lied to Ghanaians on the Kasoa interchange, an NPP Member of Parliament (MP), who is a ranking member on roads and transport committee; who is also an engineer, came out to let the whole country know that what Akufo-Addo did was false and that when he wants to speak on such issues, he should make reference to MPs and engineers and not listening to WhatsApp and Facebook publications and use it as leader; a leader don’t do that’.
‘Akufo-Addo didn’t take that serious, he didn’t do anything about that, he has continued his lying spree, and that was what we exactly exposed yesterday,’ he asserted.
