It may have been a brief bow, or a quick moment of reflection but his posture depicted him in a seeming ‘sleeping’ posture.

Following this, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been criticized by some sections of the public, many making reference to similar instances in the past and suggesting that the President must have been taking a nap as captured in a video from the recently held Russia-Africa summit.

In the video, President Akufo-Addo can be seen comfortably sitting amongst other dignitaries with his eyes closed.

Reacting to this on his show, 'With all due respect', Kevin Taylor, described the incident as unpardonable and an embarrassment to the nation for which the President must resign.

He was of the view that, Mr. Akufo-Addo is being affected by old age hence the need to bow out for a much younger generation to take over.

“This is no joke, the President was sitting in front and was deep sleeping, dreaming and this is the biggest embarrassment Ghana has faced.

I want to tell the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, that he is tired, he should walk out of office and allow active, young, smart men take over this country.

People can defend all they want, but the issue is that the President of Ghana has embarrassed Ghana to the highest level. And the funny thing is this President wakes up and anyone he sees, becomes a suspect in the PDS deal, anyone he sees who is a criminal, he will just clear the person.

This is where we are today, where we vote for old men who are closer to their death.” He said.

To sum it all up, he sarcastically requested a popular song by artiste Medikal titled ‘Omo Ada’ for the President. ‘Omo ada', to wit, ‘they are asleep’ in the local parlance, as portrayed in the song. In this instance, however, Mr. Taylor sought to emphasize his statements about the President’s ‘sleeping’ posture.

“Mr. President, ‘wada!’. This is not the time to do this but I will do this. I want to dedicate a song to the President for his highest form of embarrassment he’s shown on the people of Ghana. The song I want to dedicate is from Medikal; Mr. President, ‘Omo Ada’."
