New Patriotic Party (NPP) financier and Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is pleading with Ghanaians to have time for the Akufo-Addo led government to fight corruption in the country.
“Ghanaians think we are being slow in prosecuting but the flip side is that we do not want rush to take people to court and lose the cases so we have to do thorough investigation so that when you are going there you know that you are going to win”
According to Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Office of the Attorney General has prepared a lot of charges against appointees in the previous administration where every corrupt government official believed to have engaged in shady deals will be hauled before the court for prosecution.
“They have prepared a lot of cases I don’t want to mention to you so I will plead with Ghanaians to have patience and that definitely it will come on”.Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong spoke on GHOne’s State of Affairs interview programme during a one-on-one interview with the host Nana Aba Anamoah.
“We have a couple of guys to defend themselves”, he disclosed to the host of the show.
According to the outspoken lawmaker who is not enthused about the slow pace in prosecuting corrupt officials in the erstwhile Mahama administration, the evidence available to him will stand a test of time to put them into jail.
“I know all the NDC people with properties in Dubai. Ghanaians who have stolen and invested in the US, Europe, and Dubai and wherever,” the maverick politician alleged.
“I have information even more than the BNI and other state security agencies because of my affability to the people, he boasted.
