President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be remembered in the political annals of this country when his tenure elapses as only being good at clearing his corrupt ‘appointees’ who are neck-deep in one scandal to another, Donkor Fuseini has asserted.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) former appointee disclosed on Kumasi-based Nhyira Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com that the President time without number has demonstrated his support for corruption involving his appointees by failing to crack the whip and hide under committees and commissions to let such persons off the hook.

He cites findings from the cash for seats and contaminated fuel saga at BOST as some of the examples revealing the current government has failed to demonstrate its commitment towards fighting corruption as promised in the run up to the 2016 polls.

“Ever since Akufo-Addo became President, what he is good at is that if his Minister or any of his appointee engages in any corrupt act, he is good at clearing such a person. I am fully convinced that if his Minister of State in Charge of National Security is indicted in the Commission of Inquiry for deploying terrorists to engage violent acts, he will be cleared. They are delaying the publicity of the report because they want to ensure that any appointee who is culpable is cleared”, the former District Chief Executive (DCE) of Sekyere Afram Plains in the Ashanti Region alleged.

Meanwhile, Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has mocked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for demanding the publication of the report by the Emile Short Commission, set by the President to investigate the circumstances that led to the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence in January.

According to him, the party has no justification to ask for the report because it boycotted it as the onset and debarred its members not to appear before the commission.
