Akufo Addo Not Dead

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2012 presidential candidate and 1st petitioner in the ongoing Supreme Court hearing challenging the legitimacy of President John Dramani Mahama as declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, brings to bear his elephant’s characteristic, when he refuses to be quarantined for further and better healthcare.

Nana Akufo-Addo, took a ‘French leave’ from the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction last Tuesday, under a solemn melancholy of his sweetheart, Rebecca, towards hitherto, unknown medical destination in the United Kingdom.

The astute Ghanaian firebrand politician, noted for his resilience, verbose, and audacity to rumble and jumble under any political condition had to succumb to the couriers’ help for health’s safer grounds when the need arose last week after his Tuesday’s huge presence at the court hearing the case of his desire to become Ghana’s president at all cost.

There have been mixed reports of either he being in stable condition or lack the stability. But intelligence picked up by The Informer has it that Nana Akufo-Addo, who went to the UK with his special doctor, was rushed to a hospital in London very sick, and it took hours before his condition was stabilized.

It was his desire to come home quickly to continue with the process of evicting President John Dramani Mahama from the Flag Staff House and replacing him through the ongoing court process, which he is sure will go his way.

But the doctors who attended to him have advised that he should not make any hasty trip back to Ghana since he is still ‘under the weather,’ this paper’s sources in London have revealed. Therefore, Nana Akufo-Addo’s return to Ghana by Tuesday was up in the air.

Noted for his “all die be die” mantra in the run-up to the 2012 elections, his supporters believe Nana would ignore the medic’s advice and come and pursue his presidential ambition, which is more dear to his heart.

Available Information also indicates that the popular Ghanaian politician is currently in a very bad state at an undisclosed location in London while doctors take turns to give him further and better medical attention.

Nana Akufo-Addo is believed to have suffered a cardiac attack which led to his being flown from Ghana by chartered flight to the UK via Germany.

The de facto NPP leader, who is the first petitioner in the on-going Supreme Court (SC) petition case, was conspicuously missing in court when the case entered Day 28 last week Wednesday.

But Mr. Herbert Krapa, the Press Aide of Nana Akufo-Addo, issued a strange statement claiming that Nana Akufo-Addo has left to the UK with his wife Rebecca, for “scheduled engagements including his regular medical check-up”.

Nana Akufo-Addo’s supposed scheduled engagements which appear to be unscheduled, however, did not make any sense to most Ghanaians in view of the fact that the Supreme Court case is on-going and in his supreme interest.
