Akufo-Addo returns to Ghana today

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to return to the country today, Tuesday, 23 January 2018 from Monrovia, Libya, after attending the swearing-in ceremony of former footballer George Weah as President of Liberia.

The President was among several heads of states and other dignitaries who graced the occasion.

Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to assume full responsibilities upon arrival.

The Speaker of Parliament Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye was sworn-in as acting president following the absence of the President and his Vice Dr Mahamudu Bawumia from the country.
