Ghanaians are now witnessing the infamous 'all die be die' under the able leadership of President Nana Akufo-Addo, according to a political science lecturer with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Kwesi Amakye.
In his view, "we are witnessing an ‘all die be die’ form of leadership due to what happened at the the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election where scores of voters believed to supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) were assaulted by masked security personnel.
The lecturer in an interview Kwabena Danso-Dapaah monitored on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm was disappointed and wondered why masked police officers were assigned to cover the election.
Dr. Kwesi Amakye opined that the NPP wanted to win the race at all cost hence their decision to use these masked persons to intimidate their opponents
The NDC withdrew from the race because they accused government of unleashing terror on members.
Chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo addressing the press on Thursday said, the president should be blamed for the incident.
However, the ruling NPP’s Communications Director, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah says the incident was staged by the opposition to tarnish the image of government and Electoral Commission (EC).
