Akufo-Addo's 'family & friends gov't' makes it impossible for Amidu to fight corruption – Brogya Genfi
A former Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ernest Brogya Genfi has alleged that Special Prosecutor (SP), Martin Amidu is not able to discharge his duties as expected because of nepotism in the Akufo-Addo-led government.
According to him, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has 'filled' his administration with his 'family and friends' and "so when they are caught up in any corruption act, he (President) cannot punish them".
"How is the president going to give up his family and friends who engage in corruption? He has demonstrated that no one should even expect him to deal with his corrupt family members. He would rather polish them than punish and that makes it difficult to fight corruption. The way he has populated his government with family and friends, it will be nearly impossible to fight corruption in this government," he stated during Friday's Kokrokoo Morning show on Peace FM.
