Akufo-Addo's military aide, Brigadier-General Amponsah confirmed alive and in good health

Brigadier-General Amponsah, the Aide-de-Camp to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is in stable condition after collapsing during the President’s final State of the Nation Address in Parliament on January 3, 2025.

He received immediate medical care and was transported to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, where doctors confirmed his stable condition.

Sources from the Ghana Armed Forces reported that Brigadier-General Amponsah has since been discharged and is recovering at home, according to a report by 3news.com.

His collapse briefly interrupted the President's address, but news of his recovery has reassured the public.

Brigadier-General Amponsah has been part of the President’s security team since 2021, after Lt. General Bismark Onwona was promoted.
