A showcase of Ghanaian tradition and culture is about to hit the State of Virginia on Saturday, October 27, 2018 with the traditional outdooring of Baffour Osei Antwi Pinamang Danquah a Ghanaian resident of Virginia in the United States who has been installed the Chief of Akyem Anwiaso in the Denkyebuo district, a rich diamond resource community in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Baffour Osei-Antwi Pinamang Danquah II who is known in private life as Michael Nana Osei swore the oath of allegiance to the Akwatiahene Osabarima Kofi Boateng III as well as Osabarimah Owusu Nketiah of Takorase in the Eastern Region of Ghana on December 15, 2016.

Aside from being the Chief of Akyem Anweaso he also doubles as the Mponuahene of Akwatia and Takorase.

Speaking to the Afrikan Post ahead of the inauguration he laid out his immediate plans for the town of Akyem Anwiaso being that he would make education a priority to ensure that no child is left behind. Every school going child would be afforded the same opportunity. He would also ensure that people have access to affordable health care and thereby reduce infant mortality rates.

Baffour Osei-Antwi Pinamang Danquah comes from a long line of royals. His uncle Kwame Ahyia brokered peace on a long-standing dispute between the then Akwatiahene Nana Kwame Boateng II and Takorasehene / hemaa Nana Yaa Biama over Anwiaso lands. In appreciation of his efforts, Nana Kwame Ahyia was given the stool at Anweaso. The Mponua stool was created for him under the two traditional authorities. Being the oldest nephew Baffour Osei-Antwi was called upon to inherit his late uncle Baffour Antwi Pinamang I after the Anwiaso stool had been idle for about 18 years. After pondering over the issue for over two years with his wife she assured him of her support which encouraged him to accept the request to ascend to the stool.

Baffour Osei-Antwi Pinamang Danquah II would like to use the medium to express his appreciation to Oseawuomanhene of Akim Abuakwa Traditional Area, Daasebre Dr. Nyarko Asomadu Appiah, his wife Nana Yere Akua Nyamekye from Juaben with whom he has 4 children, three boys, and a girl. Appreciation was also extended to all the Chiefs of New Juaben, the Aduana family of Akyem Oda, Koforidua, Old and New Juaben, New Juabenhemaa, Nana Yaa Daani II, Virginia based number one DJ Vee Jay.

Baffour Osei Antwi is profoundly grateful to his Children as well as their friends serving in the US army and most importantly his father Nana Owoahene Acheampong, Kyidomhene of Old Juaben who nurtured him for the throne.

All Ghanaians all over the United States are hereby invited to join him on October 27th, 2018 at the Modern Ballroom Dance Hall in Woodbridge Virginia for the inauguration.

There will be a special Barbeque party at the Locust Shade Park near the Quantico Military base in Triangle, Virginia. Congratulations to Baffour Osei Antwi Pinamang Danquah II from the Afrikan Post.
