Kuwaiti Premier League club Al Shabab is expected to take a decision on the future of defender Vincent Atinga in the next couple of weeks as his contract nears expiration.
The Ghanaian international joined the Kuwaiti top-flight side from Albanian club FK Tirana last year after proving to be a rock at the back for his former club.
Footballghana can report that the one-year-deal that he signed will expire at the end of May 2020.
Reports coming from the camp of Al Shabab in Kuwait indicates that the management of the club will sit to discuss the fate of Vincent Atinga before the month ends.
He has been good for the club since joining but due to the suspension of the football season in Kuwait, he could not be properly assessed.
Nonetheless, Al Shabab Coach Khaled Al-Zanki will make his own assessment and send it to his employers.
Upon his recommendation, Atinga could be offered a new contract that will see him stay for another season.
The former Hearts of Oak center back made 12 appearances for his club before the Coronavirus pandemic forced the suspension of the football season.
