Twice-defeated presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Alan Kyeremanten, has promised to build a stronger political party capable of winning elections again.
The former trade and industry minister picked his nomination forms on Wednesday at the party’s headquarters.
This signals his formal declaration to contest the flagbearership slot of his party for the third time.
Mr. Kyeremanten told his party executives in Accra after picking his nomination forms that he can turn the fortunes of the party around significantly if delegates elect him to lead the party into the 2016 general elections.
He said, "I have had the privilege and honour to serve our great party...if it's God's will that I become the next flagbearer, I will work with you to build a strong, united, stable and financially viable and stable party".
Mr. Kyeremanten joins six others hoping to be given the nod as flagbearer of the NPP.
The primaries will take place on December 6.
