Alan Stirs Delegates At Central Region

Fri, 14 May 2010 Source: --

The Alan Kyerematen campaign appears to be enjoying a massive boost in the Central Region following initially reported hiccups in one or two constituencies.

Delegates at Polling station executive level are hailing Mr. Kyerematen as the ‘small guys’ candidate. In many constituencies where Alan has spoken, party delegates have hailed him as the voice of foot soldiers. Comments such as “Alan is the ‘man of the people’, he speaks for the little guys.” He understands us; are expressions openly expressed by polling station executives.

In what can best be described as a ground swell of opinion, polling station executives are openly declaring their support for Alan while at the same time, promising to put the so-called “big men” in the party in the shade.

The candidate himself has not failed to seize the opportunity to ride the grassroots wave. Alan continues to deliver stirring sermon-like messages to delegates that focuses on the interests of the foot soldiers within the larger party and how foot soldiers can continue to contribute their quota to the party when the party is in power.

In the fishing communities of Asebu and Moree, the entire township came out to greet him as he walked throughout the streets of those towns. Interestingly, Alan walked through Moree where he was not meeting delegates but because the community is reported to have demanded his visit.

The Alan Campaign winds up its tour of the Central Region, on Thursday 13th May 2010 with a stop at Agona West constituency.
