Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the NDC, stated that Alan Kyeremanten, the leader and founder of the Movement of Change and an independent presidential aspirant, has a poor track record and is not a trustworthy alternative to lead the country.

He argued that Alan Kyeremanten should be held accountable for the current economic struggles, given his past role as Minister of Trade and Industry in the NPP government.

"I have nothing against Alan. I think he has some good ideas. Rebuilding the country requires concerted efforts. The alternative is John Dramani Mahama, who has proven to be a man of integrity, which is a quality every leader should possess. For that reason, I believe he should be given the opportunity."

"The problem with Alan is that he is part of the group that has destroyed the country. His handlers should have advised him to refuse a cabinet position. If our economy is in a mess today and the cedi has depreciated so much, he is partly responsible. We cannot trust him.

His proven track record is poor; he had the opportunity to resign when indigenous businesses were collapsing. But because he claimed he was unfairly treated in the NPP presidential primaries, he would still be in the party," he said in a recent interview on the KSM show.

He also criticized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's presidential candidate, for not accepting responsibility for the current economic crisis.

"In reality, a vice president is not just a mate; he supports the driver and is a co-driver. In Bawumia's case, he is avoiding responsibility for the economy, realizing that he has failed. He has remained silent about the economy; this is a man who will not take responsibility for his actions."

He explained that John Dramani Mahama was a preferable alternative to Alan Kyeremanten and Dr. Mahamdu Bawunia, citing integrity and accountability as decisive factors for Ghana's future leadership.
