A secret campaign tactic allegedly designed by Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to convince New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates to vote for him to become the presidential candidate of the party has been exposed by Mr. Iddrisu Musa Superior, a staunch member of the party.

Addressing a news conference in Accra Wednesday, Superior alleged that Alan had promised a group he called '69,000 Alan Voters' placements as district chief executives, ministers, directors, and in the security services among others.

Alan, he continued, had also promised the '69,000 voters' 60 per cent shares in a company called Ghana Development Corporation (GDC), after they had voted for him, while he retains the remaining 40%.

The Spokesperson for Alan Kyerematen's campaign team, Mr. Yaw Buaben Asamoah, however described the allegation as a total fabrication by Musa Superior and his masters.

According to him, Alan Kyerematen was not circulating any document in which he had promised jobs for those who would vote for him, and advised Musa Superior to talk about his candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, and stop running Alan down.

He told The Chronicle that they were waiting for the publication to come out for them to react to it, since the allegation had no basis.

Superior, who earlier on declared that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo be allowed to run unchallenged for the NPP, revealed that Alan's approach, which can be described as a desperate one, should not be entertained, because he was not sending any message to the delegates as to how he was going to govern the country.

He also described Alan's conduct as a very divisive one that could polarize the party.

"It is unacceptable for any candidate to compile a list of beneficiaries of his government even before he crosses the hurdle of the primaries," he said, and advised the delegates to reject politics of division, inducement, enticement, and bribery that he said Alan and his team represent.
