Albert Nii Ayi Tagoe, Head of Finance and Investment at the Ghana Commodity Exchange, emerged as the winner in the category of Authorship and Creative Writing at the prestigious 40 under 40 awards event on September 7, 2024, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra. He is the author of the books “How to Raise Capital for Your Start-up Business” and "Money Health."

The 8th Annual Awards ceremony was organized by Xodus Communications to identify, honor, and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of forty from a wide range of industries. These leaders are committed to business growth, professional excellence, and community service, and have risen up the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age as a result of this.

This award is a testament to Albert’s extensive experience in the financial services industry and his success in translating his decade of experience in financial management into creatively written books that are impacting this generation in the areas of business and personal finance.

As an accomplished author, Albert has used his books for several presentations and training sessions for students, entrepreneurs, business owners, and corporate professionals. His first book guides entrepreneurs on raising capital for businesses, using the word "CAPITAL" to structure its chapters, while his second book helps individuals achieve financial wellness, using the sentence "AM I WELL?" to structure its chapters. His writings induce creative and analytical thinking, helping entrepreneurs build effective investor pitches. Notable institutions for his training on capital raising, investor pitches, financial management, and financial wellness include Ashesi Entrepreneurship Center, Cargill Ghana, Oxford African Women’s Leadership Institute, Westlion Co. Limited, Young Professionals Business Network, and the University of Education Winneba.

Albert's philanthropic endeavors are noteworthy. He has volunteered as a guest lecturer on the JOY FM Masterclass on capital raising strategies for businesses, impacting over 1,000 active listeners and a million viewers across the country and beyond, giving his books to some listeners as prizes for active participation.

He served as a guest judge for the national Graphic Tertiary Business Challenge in 2022 and 2023, donating books to all the finalists. He also participated as a special guest at the National Academy of Students Achievements Awards, donating over 30 books to award winners.

In 2024, he donated over 200 copies of his books to the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Education Winneba during a seminar on entrepreneurship where he was the Special Guest of Honor.

Albert served as a panelist at the 2nd Edition of the African Entrepreneurship Accelerator Summit, where his books served as the basis for sharing insights on start-up financing and investor pitches with over 300 participants.

He also served as a regular radio guest on the “Business Insider Show” on Sunny FM, where details of his book served as the basis for discussions on business financing, investor pitches, and grant financing, benefiting over 10,000 active listeners across the country and abroad.

Through the sales proceeds from his books, Albert has supported the organization of the “360 Enterprise Masterclass,” which equips participants with essential soft skills for navigating business, capital raising, and entrepreneurial success.

He volunteered his services for mentorship and coaching to several university graduates and young professionals he has engaged with during his training sessions and presentations.

In recognition of his outstanding finance leadership, Albert was named and awarded as part of the "Top 50 Influential CFOs in Ghana 2023.” The award was dubbed "Most Influential CFO in Ghana 2023." He was also awarded as part of the “Top 30 Public Sector Finance Leaders in Ghana 2022” for outstanding merits and achievements in finance leadership.
